I guess it is goodbye afterall.

I was initially going to write a Nationals report, but instead im going to speak my mind and heart out on this event.

So as most of you guys already know I made top cut with the score of 5-2 as the 16th seed. I was more than estatic knowing that my top 16 match up would be against Blastoise, a favourable match up for me. Even looking at my brackets for the match ups, I KNOW I would be able to at least make it to top 4.
T16- Blastoise
T8- Darkrai/Plasma (I have had sufficient playtest and is very confident with this match ups)
T4- Darkrai/Gothlock (Will lose to gothlock but will win darkrai, thus top4/3)

On the day of the top cut, I made my way with the determination and drive hoping that I would be able to make it to top 4 to get those 150 points to secure an invite.
During deck check, TO1 claimed that I had 4 cards missing from my decklist. Being able to identify what was missing, he told me that I would be given a game loss but instead just a warning, which I was fine with it. Even if I was given a game loss, I would still gladly accept it.

A few minutes before the start of T16, I was called out, apparently TO2 went to check the rulings regarding an illegal decklist. He said the previous warning has been revised and instead I have to remove the cards which were not listed in the list. Thus 4 rare candies and replaced with energy.I’m not blaming them for looking it up, but there must be something else that can be done, but no, decision was final..
I was told that it was the player’s FULL responsibility to check their decklist. Ok.
I don’t even have to play the game to know that I would have lost and later out of T16.

Later on I found out that Darkrai won Gothlock. So I would have a chance of being in top 2 and losing to Jeremy Leong. Which I am more than fine with it. As long as I have secured my invitation.

Being able to play in the World championship would definitely leave a huge impact, accomplishment and a milestone for me in my 3 year career and life. After that decision, I would not only be able to attend the world championship but have to live with that disappointment, regret and also that empty feeling where you know everything is at the tip of your fingers but you dropped it.
Well, there is nothing that can be done now. Let bygones be bygones. Being able to top 2/3 of my Nats is a good enough accomplishment to me but being able to get to top 2 would be better.

I would like to thank the people on playtcg and tcgo for helping me with my playtests, my friends and supporters who had faith in me, a friend of mine whom I made a promise with to go Canada, Vancouver with, Sorry man.

I guess thats it, its over, my 3 years. My cards and decks needs a better, reliable and a less careless owner. It’s not their fault but mine. Thanks for letting me experience what I did during the 3 years. See ya’ll, I’ll be moving on with my life I guess.

Nope,not goodbye

Hey dear readers, I'm here writing this article with a heavy heart. Why so? Oh thats because I will be taking a break from Pokemon TCG for awhile and this upcoming Pokemon Nationals will most probably be my last event. Who knows I might even show up for other events in the future?

But for now, this is my decision. What I want to do is to prioritze the things in my life and not try to put in too much effort. There are other important things which I wish to concentrate on. Being Money, oneself or relationships with whoever.

This is called the 2nd last post is because, I want the last post for this blog to be dedicated to my 3rd and last National. So there would be a sense of 'closure' to everything. Guess I'll include my own blog in the post in case you guys 'care' to know how I'm doing with my life. haha.

Maybe I'll even write up on my history till now. How it all began and stuff. If I have the time. But do lookout for my Nats report.

Thanks for reading this :D

My plans for this blog

Now that I've gotten your attention

Febri Azrian's Top 16 States Championship report

Its been a really long while since I updated the blog and its also partly due to me being demoralized playing this TCG dubbed luck game by some. Anyway some of you all must know that I had a horrible runs for both the Regionals as well as Cities.
Well maybe its because of my poor deck choice and constructions.
1st Regionals : Big Basics (constructed the day before) 0-3
2nd Regionals: Speed Rayeels 0-4
Cities: Dceels with no Exes 2-4

Never have I been so demoralized by a card game. Which led me to a fantastic book club, where I read and read lots of interesting books. Anyway I will be writing a brief report from what I can remember. So my deck of choice is :
Plasma Klinklang/ Cobalion

Vincent Return to The Game Temporary

Hello everyone, its Vincent The Thor. Sorry for not posting anything for ages. Have been very busy with school the past 4 months. First of all please pardon my poor English. I don't major in English nor i am a born a American. Last month, i came back to Pokemon after a long break but i have been following closely all the while.

I took part in Battle Roads which i did fairly poorly 2-3, 2-3 is both days. Day 1 i played Rayeels +shaymin tech. Due to the lack of practice, i got owned by Rayeels can't remember who was it. And Day2 i played hydregoin. Despite going 2-0 up, i lost the next 3 (garchomp, Rayeels, quad entei).
Rayquaza EX from Dragons Exalted

I am currently ranked 2nd last in the ratings(LOL). Then it came Regionals which i skipped the tourney due to exams. Predicted the meta well and formed a last minute deck for my friend Noel to play. However, as i am not the one playing, i did not invest in landorus ex. So the deck was substituted with terrakion ex. The deck was white tea with potion, max potion, gold pots. Noel being a "lock" player was unable to adapt to the deck. He went on to 2-3.

Regionals SEA was won by quad sligphy much to my amazement. 2nd to White Tea. In my opinion, it was a good call from quad sligphy but white tea should have won comfortably with maybe 2 terrakion nv running.
