Rayquaza EX : Dragon Exalted card analysis

This is a card which will be available to us when the next pack hit the shores of singapore later this year in August, Dragon Exalted.

An EX basic dragon type with 170HP, Dragon weakness,1 retreat cost.  

It's first attack Celestial Roar is not really impressive as it can easily mill you 3 important cards and miss an energy. Plus with the absense of Junk Arm, some of the trainer cards milled, might never see play for that game again. Though you can potentially get a donk next turn if you're running Pokedex BW, arrange your top 3 cards, and hitting them with Celestial Roar.

As for the second attack, Dragon burst, this is where the card really shines. If anyone remembers Magnezone prime, this is a scarier version without the draw engine. For 1L and 1F, you can discard as many 1 type of the required energy to deal 60 per energy. Thats overpowered man! The best part is, the energy is not sent to the lost zone, this means Rayquza EX can be paired with Eelektrik's Dynamotor and Emboar's Inferno fandango

I'm out of the format even before states!

Being a basic also means that it can easily attach an Eviolite to soften blows to it. Having 1 retreat cost also is handy when you're running Skyarrow bridge.

Overall I feel this card cant really stand alone as a deck of it's own. In my opinion, I think this is either a 1 or 2 off in decks like Zeel and Reshiboar. It is used as another attacker of the deck. We have to wait and see how this card is going to be utilised in the future and see if a Rayquaza ex deck can be one of the top contenders!
