Hello guys, this will be the first Card Of The Day. Here we go.
Roserade ul has a average hp for a stage 1cards. Compared to this new format. Hp is key to survival. Since deck nowadays have high attack damage.
Roserade attack power Blow is similar to Tangrowth from call of legends(cl). Roserade ul require an extra grass energy for the attack compared to Tangrowth which have only colorless . it is possible to be a secondary attacker.Only if you have not mush choice.
What makes roserade a unique card is the poke-power. Roserade poke-power: energy signal . when you attach a grass or a psychic energy to roserade during your turn ,you may use this power. Attach a grass the defending is confused , attach a psychic the defending is now poisoned. .
The use of rainbow energy .Rainbow energy provide every type of energy. it other words you can activate both the status effect at the same time. Nice eh.
Another card that it is a must to run techs like roserade is Leafeon ud/cl .
Leafeon attack for a colorless. miasma wind does 50x the number of status condition. SO. rainbow energy + roserade = 100 damage.
How do i get back energy? the only way is through seeker and unown return (if do not want to waste supporter usage)
Why do people run this card. From my Point of View.Rescue energy is a threat now for speedy attackers such as yanmega. If you can calculate the amount of damage and use roserade power and correct moment. you can prevent the opponent from rescuing by letting opponent die by poisoned . Sleeeepiingg babies. poisoned the sleeeping babies.Hope they die of it. Another reason to run this card because of donphan prime.
You can add damage and give the opp a hard time to think about by giving donphan status condition as is is impossible for them to retreat because of high retreat cost. If unlucky 'switch'. I use to play donphan deck and i dont like getting poisoned.
