The tournament format was big boy pants(why not girl?).
I believe there was an event somewhere in the world had big boy pants before. And i heard six prizes had published the meta for this format - zebeels tech archeops.
I personally feel that robo cup supposed to be a fun event that doesnt require meta. out of the 18 players i think at least 50% were playing zebeels tech archeops + cinccino (do the wave B&W).
However i am not really a fan of meta, i formed my own special deck which one brutally destroyed by archeops. Without further-a-do, here is my list. i think it is 99% accurate( i dismantle the deck after the event)
Energy 12
2 water
2 fighting
4 prism
4 DCE
Pokemon 16
3 musharna (ND)
4 cofagrigus (DEX)
3 prinplup
3 empoleon
1 bronzong (ND)
2 lucario (ND)
trainer 32
4 evoilite
4 rocky helmet
4 exp share
2 dark claw
4 juniper
3 oak
2 super rod
1 full heal
2 random reciver
3 heavy ball
2 ultra ball
1 N
How the deck works
As we know, in this format we have to take all 6 prize 1 by 1 (no ex-es).
Step 1 - Set up 3 musharna for drawing power ( at least 3 cards per turn)
Step 2 - Set up empoleon is possible (enhanced drawing power with driving draw)
Step 3 - Cofagrigus chuck (3-4 tool to knock out 3 of their pokemon) 120 damage or 160 damage. normally stage 1(basic) have hp about 90-120 even with evolite 160 damage will definitely knocked them out.
Step 4 - Empoleon take over as attacker with attack command. at least 70 damage per attack( because cofagrigus will run of out steam/tools to attack)
tech -
1)Bronzong - prevent opponent from healing (super effective against max pots)
2) full heal - Prevent random effects like poison confuse paralysis
3) Lucario - To fight lightning/cinccino (hard to set up due to 2 fighting and 100 HP- easily knocked out by do the wave)
I love my deck because i thought of it myself. However luck didn't really favour me much. if i not wrong, top 2 were both zebeels tech archaops. =(. So much for a fun event with massive meta-s.
1) all eevee deck (with all evolution - flareon, vaporeon etc )personally feel that it is good however the HP is just too fragile.
2) My friend joey's deck (hot n cold). with runs on roast nine-tails from COL, empoleon with tangrowth(COL), chandelure and Volcarona.
A very strong deck that is restricted by archops also.
Okay folks, this is the end of team robo cup report. I will be back next week for the pre-release report!
